Our VisionWelcome to the Impactors Academy: Our Vision and the Road Ahead
The Impactors Academy exists to help people build a living with their own skills and today's tools. Here is what we want to accomplish, and how we start.
Most people are told to wait. Wait for the right job, the right offer, the right system to finally work for them. The Impactors Academy exists because we believe there is another way: learn the skills and tools that let you build something with what you already have.
Our mission is short. Impacting lives positively. This post explains what that means in practice, what we want to accomplish, and the steps we are taking to get there.
Our vision: people who can build for themselves
We see a world where more people earn with their own gifts, talents and skills, instead of depending on someone else for nearly everything. That dependence is common across Liberia and many African countries.
The internet has changed what is possible. A person with a laptop, a clear skill and the right tools can reach customers, build a product or start a business that was out of reach ten years ago. AI has pushed that further in the last two years. Work that once needed a team, like a first draft, a design, a piece of software or a marketing plan, can now start with one person and a good question.
That opportunity is real, but it is not evenly shared. Most of what is written about AI and technology is written for people who already work in it. We want to close that gap.
What we want to accomplish
Three things guide everything we build:
Make technology understandable. Anyone should be able to know what a new tool changes for their work, study or business, without needing to be an engineer first.
Turn learning into real work. Knowing about a tool is not the goal. Using it to earn, to build or to save time is.
Build ventures that prove it. We do not only teach. We build real projects, run them, and share what works and what does not.
The steps we are taking
Step 1: Share what we learn, every day
This blog is where it starts. Each post takes one idea, usually something new in AI or technology, and follows the same shape: what changed, why it matters if you are not an engineer, and one thing you can try this week.
Step 2: Build ventures that put it into practice
The Impactors Academy is the mother platform for a family of ventures, each one a place where these ideas become real work:
IA Pro builds apps, systems and AI automation for entrepreneurs, creators and businesses.
LOC connects travellers with local hosts, starting in Morocco.
Beyond the Football Pitch shares the stories and opportunities around football beyond the professional game.
IA's Business and Finance covers financial literacy and business fundamentals.
We will write about what we learn building them, including the parts that break.
Step 3: Open the door to more people
The Academy grows by people joining in: reading, trying, asking questions, and eventually building with us. Our community spans technology, education, sport and faith, and it is open to anyone who wants to make a real change, not only talk about one.
What comes next on this blog
Expect three kinds of posts in the weeks ahead:
AI and tech, explained. What the big labs and tools release, and what it means for people who do not write code.
Guides you can use. One task, one tool, step by step.
Build stories. How our ventures work behind the scenes, what we got wrong, and what we changed.
One promise, so there are no surprises. We use AI to help draft some of what you read here. A named person on our team reads, corrects and approves every post before it goes out, and when AI helped, we say so.
Questions people ask us
What is the Impactors Academy?
A global community and the mother platform for ventures in technology, travel, sport and finance. Our mission is impacting lives positively, by helping people build with their own skills and today's tools.
Who is this blog for?
Anyone who wants to understand what AI and technology change for their work, studies or business. You do not need to be technical to follow it.
How is the Impactors Academy connected to IA Pro and LOC?
They are ventures of the Academy. IA Pro is our technical arm, which builds apps, systems and automation. LOC is our travel platform.
How can I get involved?
Start by reading and trying the weekly task in each post. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to see new posts first.
Try this week: write down one task you repeat every week, in two sentences. Keep the note. In our next post we will show which kind of task to hand to an AI tool first, and the wrong first pick most people make.
